The service is led by St Mary's Choir and includes a dramatised reading of the Passion Story as told by St Luke and St John.

Remembrance Sunday is not a Holy Communion service
Tea, coffee, cakes plus sales of books, jigsaw and knitted items. Proceeds go to The Friends of Old Newton Church.
A community event that provides a 2 course lunch, with a hot drink to follow, for just £5. There is a raffle. Monies raised go to The Friends of Old Newton Church, whose help in maintaining the fabric of the church is vital.
The November lunch is always our 'Christmas' lunch, an extra-special event.
This is now an annual event, raising money for St Mary's Church. The venue is Old Newton Village Hall. The exhibition is open from 10-4 both days.
This is a simple lay-led service that includes child-friendly hymns and practical activities. It's enjoyed by old and young alike!
A variety of gardens open in the village raising money for St Mary's Church. Refreshments will be available at Old Newton Church, and the weekend will finish with Songs of Praise at 18:00 in the church/churchyard.

The church will be beautifully decorated with floral displays on the theme 'Amazing places around the world'. These displays will be open to view between on 12 noon and 5pm on Saturday & Sunday June 8th & 9th.
Refreshments will be served in church, with seating available outside.
There will also be a raffle, a tombola and a plant stall outside in the churchyard.
Our Festival will close with a Songs of Praise at 5:00 on Sunday 9th.

On 5th Sundays and on some other special occasions the Bacton Benefice meet together for Holy Communion in one or other of our churches.
