About Us
We are a friendly, active and supportive church in the centre of the beautiful village of East Bergholt, part of the new Constable Country benefice with St Michael's in Brantham and St Marys' in Bentley and Tattingstone.
We love worshipping God and there are a broad range of different services enabling you to meet with Him in a way comfortable to you and to know that you have been in His presence.
We very much enjoy welcoming visitors to our historic building, and provide teas and coffees on the last Wednesday morning of the month and after the main service on Sundays.
We have a unique set of bells, housed in a bellcage, which are rung every Sunday from 9.30.
We love doing weddings. We will work with you to help you make your wedding very personal and special within the confines of Anglican worship. Please contact us to book your date as early as possible. Bookings already being taken for two years hence! You might like to consult yourchurchwedding.org to help your planning.
Baptisms take place in the main Sunday service at 10.00 unless there are strong pastoral reasons to make an exception.
We are also there to support you when a loved one dies. Our Ministry Team meet with the family to prepare a fitting memorial or thanksgiving service. Burials are at the village cemetery, and contact needs to be made with the Parish Clerk to organise a plot. Alternatively, we can go with the coffin to the crematorium if this is required. Our funerals leaflet helps explain what we can offer.
