Whitton Church - St Mary & St Botolph

Welcome to St Mary and St Botolph Whitton, we are a church with a family feel worshipping in a relaxed but traditional way. Whilst geographically 'on the edge' of the parish serving our parish is at the centre of what we aim to do.

We an 'Inclusive Church'  – a church which seeks to celebrates and affirm every person and not discriminate.

We will seek to challenge the church where it continues to discriminate against people on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality.

We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.”

Safeguarding

Our Safeguarding Officer is Mrs Rebecca Newman email [email protected]

"The parish of Whitton is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St.Edmundsbury & Ipswich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
