His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh – 9 April 2021 The Staff and whole Church family of All Saints Kesgrave with All Saints Little Bealings and St Mary’s Playford are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Benefice Rector, Rev Robin Spittle, has said “On behalf of all our communities, our thoughts at this very sad time are with Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family”. As a mark of respect, the Kesgrave Church flag will be flown at half-mast and follow all recommended timings. For an online Book of Condolence people can join with that placed at, www.suffolk.gov.uk/condolences The Royal Family have issued the following statement, “During the public health situation, Books of Condolence will not be available for the public to sign.” In respect for these wishes, please direct people to the online books of condolence on the St Edmundsbury Cathedral website (click HERE) or the Church of England website (click HERE). If any Kesgrave parishioners wish to lay a floral tribute, they may do so at the Royal British Legion War Memorial, Legion Green (nr All Saints roundabout). Further announcements of any other events and timings will be added when details are known.
