St Mary le Tower

St Mary-le-Tower is a parish church with a thriving and diverse congregation with people of all ages. It has been the town and civic church of Ipswich since 1200, and has long been recognised nationally as a centre for choral excellence, with an emphasis on young people. We offer cathedral style worship in the Anglican Choral Tradition, with an auditioned robed choir. We seek to live out the Christian faith through our worship and service of our town and parish. We seek to love our neighbour, being welcoming and inclusive of all. We aim to provide for the spiritual needs of the town, and all who come, whether just as visitors to the building or as sharers in worship. The church is open for daily prayer and holds a midweek communion. On Sunday our choir shares in the leading of worship with choral services of Matins, Eucharist and Evensong. Our Vicar is The Reverend Tom Mumford who is always delighted to meet parishioners and visitors. You can find his contact information on our website. The choir is professionally run by the Director of Music, Christopher Borrett and the Organist & Assistant Director of Music, William Baldry. Both welcome enquiries from potential new members of the choir. For further details about the life, work and worship of St Mary le Tower, please visit http://www.stmaryletower.org
