Accessibility

Separate male and female toilets and unisex disabled/baby change toilet.

Baby change facility in the disabled toilet.

There is ample parking at the hall, with several wider spaces reserved for disabled parking.

Unisex

Reserved larger parking bays neatest the ramp to the main hall entrance.

Gently sloping ramp from the car park, and also into the main entrance. All level access within the building (except to the stage!)

Standard induction loop facility in the hall.

Large print of service sheets available - most services in the main hall (not including Wednesday Communion services) use a video projector onto a large screen above the stage.

Assistance dogs are welcome at all services.


Our Building


Music and Worship

Concerts and other fund raising events are held from time to time.

Sunday Family Eucharist services are based on the Book of Common Prayer, but are projected onto a large screen.
Wednesday Communuion Services are from the Book of Common Parayer.


Groups, Courses and Activities

A range of Youth Groups, depending on age, are held on a Monday night. Please see the St Mary's website for further details.

A number of community groups use the hall for regular meetings. Please see the calendar on the St Mary's website for when these happen.

Monthly Mothers' Union meetings are held in the hall - please see the St Mary's website for further details.

The Mothers' Union runs a weekly Pram Service in the hall each Thursday during term times.
Sunday morning services, held fortnightly in the hall, are designed to be 'family 'friendly', but worshippers of all ages are very welcome.

The 1st Nunthorpe Scout Group meet in the hall. Please contact them for further information.

Other Features

St Mary's Church and the Church Hall support the aims and ideals of Fairtrade and have adopted the policy of using Fairtrade products when available.

St Mary's Church and the Church Hall act as collecting points for Foodbank items, which are then transferred to a local foodbank in Middlesbrough.

The hall has a permanently installed overhead video projector and a large, retractable screen over the front of the stage. There is also an audio system, which is linked to the Hearing (induction) Loop system.

The hall, the side room (the 'Supper Room'), and the kitchen are all available for private hire, either for one-off events, or for regular weekly sessions.

The hall as a modern, well equipped kitchen, which is ideal for the preparation and serving of food.

The stage may also be available, subject to current activities by the Nunthorpe Players.
