Also called by some Holy Communion and by others the Lord's Supper, this service is central to our worship as Christians. The service, which includes hymns, prayers, readings from the Bible, and a sermon or address as well as the sharing of bread and wine in remembrance of the death and resurrection of Jesus, is taken from "Common Worship : Services and Prayers for the Church of England" published in 2000. It is in contemporary language and lasts between 60 and 75 minutes.
