Getting here

The tiny village of Hawton lies a couple of miles south-west of the market town of Newark in Nottinghamshire.

If you are coming from a distance, make your way to Newark which lies at the confluence of several major roads:

the A1 linking London with the NE of England,

the A46 linking Grimsby and Lincoln with Leicester and on to the SW,

          the A17 from southern Lincolnshire,

the A617 from Mansfield and the M1.

Once in Newark, by the mediaeval castle, head SW along Castlegate and follow the road round to the left onto Lombard Street keeping in the left-hand lane. Immediately after the traffic lights at the Bus Station / Asda Superstore, get into the right-hand lane. At the next set of lights turn right and immediately bear left (signposted Hawton / Staunton). After about 500 yards cross the roundabout (third exit) onto Hawton Road and follow this for about 2 miles (it becomes a twisting country lane) and you will arrive at All Saints’ Church, Hawton.

We look forward to seeing you.
