We have two toilets including a wheelchair accessible toilet adapted within the constraints of the building

Two Large hard car parks with grass overflow available in exceptional circumstances

One of our toilets has been adapted to enable wheelchair access within the constraints of the building

Those with mobility issues are able to park near to Church door

Concrete ramp to allow access to hall and raised area a west end. Portable ramp available for use on main entrance to nave.

Free Community Library in back of Church - Branch of the Bacon Road Community Library - If you wish donations can be left for the Stowmarket and District Foodbank. £1617 raised across both locations in 2023/24


Music and Worship

6 bells restored and enhanced in 2020.

Open Air Concert held every year opposite Church in Barham Hall. Concerts in Church tend to occur on ad hoc basis.

Organ

Once per month on a Wednesday at 10am

Small but loyal choir sings every Sunday at 10am. New members always welcome


Groups, Courses and Activities

Benefice group meets on Tuesday evenings on Zoom. Other groups during Lent and Advent

Friday morning free Drop-in from 10 to 12:30 - all welcome - a community service not a fund raising exercise

Three major community events every year ( Fete, Open Air Picnic Band Concert and Chiristmas Bazaar plus additional Ad Hoc events.

Annual 3-day J-Team running for over 30 years and still attracting more than 80 Primary school aged children

The Church operates a Soup Kitchen in Ipswich every Sunday Evening. We operate an 8 week rota of teams of volunteers from across the Benefice and beyond. Contact our Soup Kitchen Coordinator, Ann Colthorpe 01479 831079

Our [email protected] worship on the first Sunday of each month would certainly be described as messy!

An active Claydon & Barham MU group meets in the afternoon in Church Hall. From 2024 Henley MU has relocated to in our Church Hall and meets monthly on a Monday evening

Young Families group meets in village hall, monthly Sunshine Servicev and [email protected] are ail aimed at parents and young families

We endeavour to purchase Freetrade supplies wherever possible

We support the Mid Suffolk Foodbank in Stowmarket with cash and FIND with food donations and Christmas presents

New Audio system and hearing loop installed in 2019. We have PC Projector and Screen available

A part of our Churchyard is left uncut for conservation
