About Us
We are a family-friendly community church; and Church of England, but probably not as you know it. We are part of the Parish of Heathfield with Cotford St Luke; and have a delightful ancient church at Heathfield – two miles away – for more traditional services [seeseparate entry for St John The Baptist, Heathfield]. But Cotford is a new village, and only in the last 6 months have we had our own building.
Our services are informal and lively, but respectful. We are happy for children and adults of all ages to come along; and there are usually separate activities for the children for part of each service. We also have a midweek toddler church, house communion service, groups in the local primary schools, and a Friday youth group for 11-16 yr olds.
But St Luke's Centre is not for Sundays only – we see the church as being part of the community every day of the week, so we have a cafe and multi-use hall, as well as a small sanctuary for private and small group prayer and contemplation.
Our main communion service is on the first Sunday of each month and it is an open table – all Christians, of any denomination and none, are welcome.
