St Aidan’s and St Hilda’s are saddened by the news of Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s death. This comes as another blow after a couple of years of uncertainty and grief, and as the cost of living crisis looms. In all this, we give thanks for Her Late Majesty’s constancy and service, praying for the new King, King Charles III, his Queen Consort, Camilla, and the Royal Family in this time of personal loss and great change. We also hold this nation in our prayers, particularly our local community, and offer our churches as spaces to reflect, to offer condolences, and to pray, should you wish.St Hilda's will be open every day from 11am to 1pm until Sunday 18th September. There will also be a service of prayer and thanksgiving on Sunday 18th September, at St Aidan's at 5pm.
