On 15 december 2024 Anglican Church Zwolle invites you to a special and delightful night of traditional Lessons and Carols in de Anglican Church in Zwolle. The Festival, which starts at 5pm, will be sung by the joint choirs of the Anglican Churches of Zwolle and Utrecht.

A Festival of Lessons and Carols is a beloved English tradition which brings to life the Christmas message in both words and music. During the event the core stories of Christmastide alternate with beautiful choral music, sung by the talented choirs of the two churches of Zwolle and Utrecht. The service offers a varied programma of traditional Christmas carols and choir pieces, accompanied by the classical music of English composers. Organist during the service is Bob van der Linde, while Freek Elbers conducts the joint choirs.

The entry is free, but there will be a collection for the benefit the Salvation Army, to support their work with vulnerable people in the area. Your contribution is highly appreciated. 

This event not only provide the opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit, but to come together and  enjoy the power of music and community as well. We invite everybody, young or old, to come and experience this special tradition, and embrace the Christmas message of hope and peace.
