We mark the feast of the Presentation of Christ with a Sung Mass with refreshments afterwards. We begin with the traditional blessing of candles and candlelit procession, which illustrates the theme of Simeon's recognition of the infant Christ as the light of the world. Our special preacher will be the Ven. Mike Mc Gurk, the Director of Church Growth for the diocese.

Saint Peter's is the parish church for the parish of Swinton and Pendlebury. There are also two district churches working as part of our parish, All Saints', Wardley, and Saint Augustine's, Pendlebury.
