The main Sunday celebration of the Eucharist with sermon, choir and activities for children, using the modern rite with Catholic ceremonial. All ages are represented in the congregation and the average weekly attendance is around 90. On the first Sunday of the month this is a Parade Mass with the young people's uniformed organisations taking part.

Each Sunday from 12 noon to 12.45pm a team are available in the vestry at Saint Peter's to help with inquiries about baptisms, weddings, and the reading of banns. Arrangements for all the three churches of the parish can be made at this time. THE BOOKINGS SESSION WILL NOT BE HELD ON EASTER SUNDAY.

The evening office is celebrated daily in St. Peter's at 6pm except on Mondays when it is said at All Saints' Wardley at 7.00pm. It is lead by the clergy team who are joined by a small group of lay people. All are welcome to join in. On major festivals, Sunday evening prayer is occasionally followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament

A weekday celebration of the eucharist each Monday with a small but devout congregation.

Before our celebration of the Nativity of Jesus gets underway, on Tuesday morning we will gather at the altar to celebrate the last mass of the Advent season.

Our observance of Christingle (with a collection for the Childrens' Society) also includes a simple celebration of the eucharist and the giving of holy communion. This is the first of our Christmas services, technically a vigil mass of Christmas. We are after 12 noon on Christmas Eve, so the feast of the Nativity of Jesus Christ has now begun.

At the heart of our Christmas worship is our gathering in church for Midnight Mass and the Blessing of the Crib. The gospels lead us to think that Jesus was born at night and from very early on in the history of the Church on this night the eucharist was celebrated in the middle of the night. So we do today.

Sometimes called "the Shepherds' Mass" because it is thought to mark approximately when the shepherds would have been at the crib, the eucharist is celebrated simply at 8am on Christmas Day.

For half an hour the sacrament is exposed upon the altar in one of our side chapels as a focus for prayer and meditation. There is spoken prayer to begin and end but most of the time is spend in silence. Our 10am Thursday mass follows.

On Thursdays the mass is preceded by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with silent prayer and devotions at 9.30. Mass at 10 is followed by coffee in a local cafe.

The day after Christmas, Boxing Day, is also the feats of Saint Stephen. There used to be a Saint Stephen's Church and School in this parish so we try to mark Saint Stephen's Day with some style and with a festival mass.

As well as publicly and corporately praying the Stations of the Cross on each Friday in Lent we have now restored our pre-COVID observance of doing so once a month, on the second Friday, during the rest of the year. We follow with an additional mass at around 8pm. In the Stations we trace the path of Jesus from condemnation by Pilate to his burial in prayer and meditation.
