We seem to have had a good observance of Christmas at Saint Peter's this year (although we are not yet through the Twelve Days). Numbers of people in church seemed to be back to pre-COVID levels and in some cases up on those. With the temporary closure for most events of Salford Cathedral we were asked to be the hosts for a couple of extra carol services. In the week beginning 10 December we reckon we had upwards of 2000 people in church for one or other of the carol and nativity services. And the Christmas festival itself was well kept with over 500 people at one or other of the four Christmas masses.
