A Week of Prayer for us to think about important issues facing our church now and into the future will take place from this Sunday.
It's a perfect time of the Church year to pray in this way - Lent challenges us to return to God, to find ways to grow spiritually and to focus on our relationships with God, with one another and with our wider community, while Passiontide encourages us to pray with fervour and to share Christ's journey on the way to the Cross.
We are inviting people to find time each day to pray for the specific daily topics listed. You can pray in church at set times or at home at any time, but we also hope that as many of us as possible can also unite to pray together at 6pm each day, wherever we are, perhaps lighting a candle to focus our thoughts. A reminder will pop up on social media just before 6pm each day.
Visit our website or contact the church office to book a particular slot to pray in church, which will be open from 9am - 6pm on Monday-Friday and from 9am - 1pm on Saturday with prayers, Bible verses and pictures projected onto screens to help you in your prayers.
These prayers and themes are offered as tools to enable all to participate and are suggestions as a springboard to your own prayers. If you are unable to print off the sheet attched to this news item, you can pick up a paper copy from church.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4.6-7
