The Bishop of Rochester is delighted to announce that The Revd Kelly Parsons is to be appointed as the new Priest in Charge of the Parish of St Bartholomew’s Otford, with a plan to be licenced later in May. Kelly trained for ordination part time at St Augustine’s in West Malling whilst working full time for Hadlow College. After training she served her curacy firstly in the Benefice of West Malling and Offham and later extending the curacy to the seven parishes of the newly formed Kent Downs and Malling Team. Kelly is excited to be called to travel with St Bart’s on the next stage of their journey as they look to strengthen existing community relationships and explore their missional calling through community engagement and pastoral care. Please pray for Kelly and Michael and their three adult children Rebecca, Jack and Olivia as preparations are made to move from their family home in Hadlow and for Kelly to begin her new ministry in Otford. Kelly’s final Sunday in the Kent Downs and Malling Team will be on the 27th of April. Kelly, Michael and their spaniel Jasper hope to move into St Bart’s Vicarage at the beginning of May.
