Our Friday lunches started in 2022 when there were concerns about heating costs and we wanted to provide a warm space. The event soon evolved into a regular lunch where anyone was free to drop in for homemade food and company . The event has proved its worth in helping combat loneliness, and a point of contact for those who might need help. Although a number of volunteers help with preparing and serving food , there's intentionally not much difference between the volunteers and the clients . Everyone pitches in.
