During Lent we are offering a weekly lunch to all who come. It usually involves a bowl of soup (you can have more than one bowl if you like) and bread and cheese with teas and coffees to follow. They will be held in the village halls of the Churches who are hosting the lunch.
The first Charity Lent Lunch will be held in the Chelsworth Village Hall on 2nd March 2023 at 12.30pm
The second Charity Lent lunch will be held at Monks Eleigh Village hall again at 12.30pm on Friday 10th March 2023.
The third Lent lunch will be at Brent Eleigh on Friday 17th March at the Village hall there, again at 12.30pm
The fourth will be held at Milden the Milden Cricket Club on Wednesday 22nd March 2023 at 12.30
The fifth Lent lunch will be on Friday 31st March 2023 at 12.30 at the Village Hall in Kettlebaston.
Each Church will be raising money for a Charity of their choosing. Monks Eleigh's will be going towards East Anglian Air Ambulance. I hope you will be able to join us. The soups are wonderful and there is usually a choice of at least 6 different kinds.

St Peters Church Monks Eleigh

St Peters Church is situated in the rural village of Monks Eleigh in the Brett Valley. It is sited at the top of an upward sloping village green which is bordered by a collection of Grade ll listed residential meetings and a pub at the bottom of the hill.

A Church has existed on this site for 900 years although the present building dates back to the 14th century.
