Every Tuesday afternoon from 2.30pm at The Rectory there is a Home Bible Study Group. All are welcome.
We will be looking into depth the readings given from the previous Sunday Service. It is an opportunity to further explore the Bible.
Refreshments are served at the beginning of the Home Group

CHRISTINGLE SERVICE

For the 1st Sunday in Advent we will be having our Christingle Service. This is a joyful celebration bringing our families and communities together to share the light of Jesus and spread the message of hope.
Christingle mean's Christ's light. During the Service we will all have an opportunity to make a Christingle which is made with an orange, a candle. a red ribbon and 4 sticks with fruit and sweets. When these have been made, we dim the Church lights and stand around in a circle and light our Christingles. The service ends with singing an uplifting song full of hope which is particularly relevant for the start of Advent and the message brought by the Angel to Jesus' mother, Mary.

In the evening there will be an Advent carol Service at Kettlebaston. The time is to be decided.

Food for Thought

This is a lunch time gathering for the Benefice of Monks Eleigh whereby we meet on the 3rd THURSDAY of each month at The Chapel during the Winter months.
We aim to share our thoughts on passages from the Bible however during January 2024 and into the new year we plan on using extracts from the book by David Watson on the Holy Spirit.
We bring our own lunches but teas and coffees are provided.

You are most welcome to come and join us and learn and share your thoughts with us.

Thursday 16th November 2023 will be the last 'Food for Thought' for this year. We will continue in 2024 as we have been doing throughout 2023.

Christmas Eve CRIB SERVICE

At 3pm on Christmas Eve our Crib Service will be at St Mary's Church, Kettlebaston. This is a lovely service especially for very excited children when the Christmas story is explained with some lovely handmade figures. The children are involved in bringing each relevant object up to the crib to be placed there and familiar songs and carols are sung. it is such a lovely service and Ketlebaston is a very special Church to have it in.

MIDNIGHT CHRISTMAS EVE HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE

Our Midnight Christmas Eve Holy Communion Service this year will be at St Peters Church Monks Eleigh. It will begin at 11.30pm.
The Church is very beautiful bathed in candlelight and it is particularly poignant as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
it is such a special service so come and join us.
