This Lent we move from meditating on the Wildness of God to seasons of Wilderness in our lives as we prepare to celebrate Easter. Together we will reflect on the stories of Biblical characters and communities and how they lean on God and each other in seasons of wilderness. LENT LUNCHES: • Lent starts next week so it’s the time of year for us to get together around a hot bowl of soup and share in our Christian fellowship, as well as raise money for the church. • We therefore ask for volunteers to host a lunch on a Thursday during the Lent period. Please let me know if you can help and which date you can do. • Our Lent lunches are a tradition started by the late Pam Hastings who saw this as an opportunity to raise money for something specific for the church. Pam generously used to host all the lunches herself and serves as an inspiration for us all today. • The format is to offer a simple lunch (soup, bread, cheese, and fruit) for which we ask people to contribute 10 euros. All the money is donated to the church. • Below is a list of dates which you can sign up for.
