• April, date TBC: Lenten Soup Kitchen at Acceuil du Jour; contact Katie and Leigh (the Acceuil de Jour is currently under construction so impossible to offer soup during Lent however they have requested we postpone our offerings until a date in April which we have agreed to do). LENT LUNCHES:
• Lent starts next week so it’s the time of year for us to get together around a hot bowl of soup and share in our Christian fellowship, as well as raise money for the church.
• We therefore ask for volunteers to host a lunch on a Thursday during the Lent period. Please let me know if you can help and which date you can do.
• Our Lent lunches are a tradition started by the late Pam Hastings who saw this as an opportunity to raise money for something specific for the church. Pam generously used to host all the lunches herself and serves as an inspiration for us all today.
• The format is to offer a simple lunch (soup, bread, cheese, and fruit) for which we ask people to contribute 10 euros. All the money is donated to the church.
