St George's, Westcombe Park
St George’s serves the local community of Westcombe Park and Charlton in South East London. We are located at the corner of Glenluce Road and Kirkside Road (close to Westcombe Hill), a short distance from Westcombe Park railway station, and close to the Kirkside Road bus stop.
We are an inclusive church – a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality.
We are a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ. Come and join us!
St George's is part of the East Greenwich Team Ministry, which also includes Christ Church, East Greenwich and Holy Trinity, Greenwich Peninsula.
St George's Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own safeguarding officer, who works alongside the Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Their contact details can be found on the safeguarding tab on the left of this page. The Diocese of Southwark’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
