Raising funds for the Children's Society who work to protect children all across the country. Our Christingle is a fun, family event where children are at the heart of the celebration. Christingles are oranges wrapped in red tape, decorated with dried fruit or sweets, with a candle on the top. After making our Christingles we dim the church lights and light our candles to create a circle of light. This is a lovely family service enjoyed by both young and old - everyone of all ages are welcome.

St Aidan's Brunton Park

We're a friendly, welcoming & thriving church. We have a Kids Group during our main Sunday service, a very popular Family Service on the first Sunday of the month. a Youth Group every Friday during term-time, & lots of other services & social activities.  Everyone is welcome to all of our services.  If you're new to us, just let the person who welcomes you into church know, and we'll make sure you are put at ease and feel and have everything you need to enjoy our service.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Christ the King is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Catherine Stewart - [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
