The Bible contains many inspiring and uplifting stories, but it also contains some passages that are difficult for us today. These include actions or attitudes that we find morally offensive, which sometimes God seems to condone, encourage, or even command. Join us on Zoom to explore with guest speakers, including the Bishop of Newcastle, why they
are there and what they might have to say
to us today.

St Aidan's Brunton Park

We're a friendly, welcoming & thriving church. We have a Kids Group during our main Sunday service, a very popular Family Service on the first Sunday of the month. a Youth Group every Friday during term-time, & lots of other services & social activities.  Everyone is welcome to all of our services.  If you're new to us, just let the person who welcomes you into church know, and we'll make sure you are put at ease and feel and have everything you need to enjoy our service.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Christ the King is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Catherine Stewart - [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
