About Us
St James' Icklingham is home to a friendly and growing congregation and wider fellowship.
As well as regular worship, the church offers a lively calendar of social events alongside special celebration services throughout the year.
Worship is relaxed and joyful in tone with music and liturgy inclusive in emphasis.
With money raised over a number of years for the church’s kitchen and toilet facilities, St James’ has developed as a popular social hub for the village of Icklingham providing opportunities for Christian fellowship throughout the year to families and all members community.
The Icklingham Flower Club, based in St James’, attracts a growing number of members at regular meetings and demonstrations.
In addition, monthly coffee mornings also bring the community together in fellowship.
The 13th century building, consisting of chancel and nave, is maintained with the support of Project St James, a fund raising group, which is active within the community to aid church funding.
St. James’ likes to be hospitable without being intrusive. The congregation keep the community in prayer, especially those ill or bereaved.
