This year we will be celebrating Maundy Thursday slightly differently to help us re-enact what happened on the first Maundy Thursday. We will begin in the church hall with a simple bring and share meal together. There will be the (voluntary) opportunity to have your feet washed on arrival, just as was the case in Jesus’ day.
At the end of the meal, we will celebrate a simple service of Holy Communion remembering the Last Supper as we do. We will then make our way to church, re-enacting Jesus’ journey to the Garden at Gethsemane.
This will end with a short time of prayer before the reserved sacrament, known as the Watch, with readings from the Bible. People are welcome to stay for as long as they wish until 10pm.
There will be a sign-up sheet in church, or let the office know you are coming and any dietary requirements
