About Us

The earliest recorded Christian presence in Childwall is 1066. All Saint is the oldest Parish Church in Liverpool and is a grade one listed building. Although the oldest part of the Church is 14th century, Saxon stones can be found in the Church.

The Church has connections with the Earl of Salisbury's family and the Norris family of Speke Hall.

The Churchyard contains the graves of many significant Liverpool families as well as the grave of J.C.Ryle  the first Bishop of Liverpool.

All Saints contains a number of Hatchments and memorials and a board which confirms the church's loyalty to King Charles 2nd after the Restoration.

The Tower was rebuilt in 1811 and stands 47 feet from the ground,  the steeple rises a further 47 feet. The views from the Tower are breathtaking.
