We will be observing Ash Wednesday this year with services across the Benefice as follows:
Alverthorpe: 11.00 am
Wrenthorpe: 2:15 pm
Outwood - 7.00 pm
Stanley - 7.30 pm

These are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month and are a great place to enjoy a chat and some lovely refreshments including bacon sandwiches. We also have a raffle, tombola, and more. Local councillors are also available from 10.00 am for anyone who would like to chat and raise any local issues.

A monthly bible group for women from the benefice churches, looking at women of the Bible, with bible study, lunch, craft and chat. Lunch will be provided – contact Lynn Fowley on 07989 0589907 or [email protected] if you would like to attend, or for more information, dietary requirements etc

Those elected to help manage this Church usually meet monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month to discuss and vote on issues relating to the Mission and Ministry of our church.

An informal group of men from our churches, other congregations, or none who usually meet once a month over a drink at the Kirklands Hotel where we hear from a speaker or take part in interesting activities on all sorts of topics. - Not usually religious!!
