About Us

The Church of the Ascension is part of the Parish of Whitton with Thurleston and Akenham.  Built at the same time as the Castle Hill Estate it is a multi-purpose building which serves as both Church and Community Centre.  Many community and youth groups use it during the week besides it being used for worship Wednesday mornings at 10.30 for mid week Communion.

The Parish is a member of Inclusive Church and works to be an open and welcoming place for people regardless of gender, race or sexual orientation.

We start a Childrens Community Choir on 11th September 2017. this is aimed at KS " chidren and will meet tern time on Mondays at 3.45 -4.30, children can arraive from 3.15 for a dring and biscuit prior to starting if they wish to come straight from school.There will be a mixture of non religiuos amd christian based music.
