Getting here
St. Mary's is friendly and welcoming christian community in Thirsk. We worship regularly in a magnificent fifteenth century building near the middle of the town. We worship every Sunday at 10:15am and during the week with Morning Prayer at 9am on Mondays and Holy Communion on Thursdays at 10am. We would love to meet you and welcome you to St Mary's.
Over 20,000 visitors per year visit the church which volunteer Welcomers keep open daily 10.00a.m.-4.00p.m. from Easter to the end of October. It is also open in winter on Wednesday mornings from 10.00a.m.-11.30a.m. and on Friday mornings from 9.30a.m.-12.00p.m.There is a wheelchair available for use in church.
The Crypt is open from Easter to the end of October for home-made refreshments and soup lunches every Monday from 10.00a.m.
