Holy Communion
This service includes a walk from the village Hall, leaving at 10.30 to arrive at Church for a 10.45 start, hopefully with a donkey. We hear the full story of Jesus' passion and death from the bible. Each person is given a palm cross to take home.

Holy Communion at St Andrew's at 10:45 a.m. for 1hr, (All-Age Worship on the thrid Sunday)

On the night before he died Jesus shared a meal with his friends, including bread and wine. Share in a meal at Thornton le Street Village Hall; bring food (sweet or savoury), as friends eating together. If you have time, stay for the service and the watch.
Come for whichever part of the evening you wish and leave whenever you wish.
6 pm Bring-and-share Meal in the village hall, sharing what each of us has brought
7 pm Holy Communion in Church, including food eaten at Passover. This is a chance to be as near as you can get to the first Holy Communion on the night before Jesus died.
8-9 pm Watch in the stillness of the church as if we were in the Garden of Gethsemane

Three hours at the cross. The service centres around the seven ‘words’ of Jesus from the cross, with a meditation on each, interspersed with hymns. Come and go as you wish during the service, or stay throughout. Hear the story, sing the hymns and pray the prayers from the seven ‘words’ of Jesus from the cross. Feel the depth and be amazed at what your Saviour has done.

Celebrate the risen Christ on the greatest day of the year and be caught up in this day’s joy. Sing and praise God like never before, for this is the day he rose again and lives for evermore. In this service of Holy Communion. We respond to ‘The Lord is risen’ with ‘He is risen indeed: Alleluia!’
The service begins with an Easter Fire at the front of Church; then the Paschal candle is lit from the fire, then everyone is given a candle to light from the paschal candle. Receiving Holy Communion on Easter Day is awesome.
