St Andrew’s has been fortunate in receiving a significant legacy and wants to use it to enhance the value of the Church to the community. Initial ideas were to have the Church open during the week and to provide a toilet and a basic kitchen. The church path is in a poor condition, and steps into the porch a challenge. The cost of improving all this could come to around £80,000 – a significant increase over the funding available but within the bounds of fundraising. Shortly afterwards, the 5 yearly quinquennial review by architects has highlighted the need for a large amount of pointing. Our £80,000 looks set to become £100,000 and more.
