Robin Hood's Bay is very proud that the only VC awarded on that day was to someone from the village, Sgt Stan Hollis and the service will be follwed by celebrations on Kingston Field, Fylingthorpe culminating in a Beacon being lit by his granddaughter.

Situated in the picturesque village of Robin Hood’s Bay, the grade 2* listed church was built in 1870, designed by G E Street and with windows by Holiday
