OFFERING WELCOME SHARING GOD'S LOVE GROWING IN FAITH
At St Francis of Assisi Parish Church, we are a prayerful community following Jesus Christ as disciples, and strive to share God’s love with everyone we meet.
We seek to be a generous church family rooted in worship, growing in faith, and offering a warm welcome to all.
We are a diverse and inclusive community of all ages, gathering from all walks of life, growing together in fellowship, friendship, and service. We enjoy Anglican worship that ranges from traditional to contemporary and we want to grow as members of the Body of Christ. Though we are living in unusual times, we are still a church, and worship, discipleship and service are still at the heart of what we do.
Sunday morning Eucharist is at 9.30am. Every Wednesday morning Eucharist is held at 10am. For more services and events please visit our website or Facebook page.
The process of arranging a Christening or the calling of Banns of Marriage can be arranged by attending our Office Hour at church every Thursday from 6pm-7pm.
St Francis of Assisi church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Jo Purvis (07985 598063) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Rob Marshall on 07914 668907 or email [email protected].
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
