Our Building
Originally a Saxon foundation, replaced by a Norman building and then, in the 14 century, by a mediaeval cruciform shaped church. This eventually fell into a state of relative dis-repair; the Nave was rebuilt in 1815 and the Chancel in 1905. The only remaining part of the mediaeval building is the Vestry.
Music and Worship
The two manual Copeman Hart organ was commissioned in 1998 and replaced a pipe organ of limited registration and in poor condition
Choral Evensong is held once per year, usually on Whitsunday or Trinity Sunday, for the retired clergy of the Archdeaconry and is led by the Bishop of Whitby
