The following announcement was made at the services at each of the three Churches in our Church Family (Plurality) on Sunday 14th May 2023.

The Bishop of Whitby [the Right Reverend Paul Ferguson] wishes to inform you of the appointment of the Reverend Laura Wild as Vicar of the Benefice of Stainton w(ith) Hemlington and Hilton held in Plurality with the Benefice of Brookfield in the Stokesley Deanery.

Mrs Wild was ordained Priest in the Diocese of York in 2020; she currently serves as Assistant Curate in the neighbouring Benefice of Nunthorpe.

The Service for the Collation and Induction of Revd Laura as our new Incumbent/Vicar will take place at St Margaret's Church, Brookfield, at 7.00pm on Tuesday 27th June 2023.

A personal message from me: “Laura has a deep love of God and his people, and she will bring experience of working with people of all ages and backgrounds to her new ministry. I am delighted that she will continue to be part of the Stokesley Deanery. Laura will already be known to many of you through the time she has spent with you during the vacancy. I am sure everyone will welcome the chance to get to know her better”.
