We are delighted to say that Revd Rob Leveritt will be joining our benefice as Priest in Charge in March 2024. The Ministry team are looking forward to working with him and welcome Rob and his wife back to Suffolk.
It was wonderful to see the church full of colour and the amazing aromas of the flowers. It is a pity that we cannot upload all the photos of the interpretations of the theme.Thank you to all who took part in preparing the arrangements; helping with refreshments and to all of you who visited and donated. But a big thank you to Emma Cross for organising this event.
Emma Cross who organised the flower festival for us wrote a lovely introduction: "The past two years have been filled with uncertainty and worry as we steered ourselves through the Covid 19 pandemic. We even learned a new language along the way, 'lateral flow test', 'social distancing', 'work from home'...... Thankfully, joyfully, we are able once again to fill this lovely building with flowers, as we join in with the celebrations for HM The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The theme is, Celebration and Hope - the displays touch upon things which hold great meaning for us and that we celebrate - certainly, a couple of them give a nod to HM the Queen. The people of Ukraine as also in our thoughts. Please enjoy the wonderful displays, then have a well earned cup of tea and piece of cake!" The Earl of Cranbrook also loaned the robes his mother and father wore for the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II in Westminster Abbey, and these were displayed along with the chairs they sat on. Lots of people did come along and enjoy the displays as well as tea and cake and it was wonderful to see lots of folk in the church once again and people meeting up with old friends and new. Nearly £400 was raised that went to church funds.
