On the weekend of 4th to 6th March 2022 St Barnabas will be hosting Taste & See! We will be welcoming back former TV Gladiator ‘Ace’ (real name Warren Furman) who visited St Barnabas in March 2020, just before the first lockdown. ‘Ace’ has a great story to share about his faith in Christ, and we will be hosting a full weekend with a varied programme, involving plenty of food, activities and fun! In partnership with the charity ‘The Message Trust’, St Barnabas is opening a Community Grocery in Spring 2022. Community Groceries are springing up all over the UK.Millions of families are facing not knowing where the next meal is coming from. The Community Grocery is here to help. Step inside a grocery and you’ll find a range of food options fresh from local supermarkets, meaning members can come and shop for their whole family at the fraction of the cost of a supermarket. Whilst also saving hundreds of tonnes of food being wasted each year.But it’s not just about the food. In each store you’ll also find a range of free support on offer to members. Support like job clubs, money management support, healthy cooking classes, exploring Christianity courses and much more.
