One way we reached out as a church over Christmas was to provide a trail of advent windows all over Linthorpe and Ayresome, pointing to the good news of Jesus. 

Each house taking part was provided with a bible verse from the Christmas story, and decorated their window to show the picture (as ambitious or simple as desired!). Each house also had an A4 paper “plaque” to go on the fence or wall so people could read the verse, get a clue to the next advent window and find out about the St Barnabas Christmas Services. Windows were up for three weeks before Christmas, and  lit up between 4pm and 8pm each evening.
