St Thomas

AST is a welcoming community of people who love Jesus and the people of Hull. We are excited about what God is doing in our church as we change and start new things. If you have questions about life, are exploring faith or looking for a church, this could be the place for you. Everyone is welcome! Why not join us this Sunday at one of our services. We meet on Sunday mornings at 10am alternating between The Ascension and St Thomas and on Sunday evenings at 6pm at The Ascension.

10am Sunday Communion Service alternating between The Ascension and St Thomas
(see dates above for when it is at St Thomas)

The 10am Communion Service alternates each week between The Ascension and St Thomas’. This service is friendly and welcoming with an informal style of liturgical worship that includes Bible teaching and traditional and contemporary musical worship. There is provision for children during this service and we build relationships at the end over a cuppa. The service lasts for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

6pm Sunday Contemporary Worship at The Ascension

The 6pm Contemporary Worship Service is at The Ascension each week and includes extended spirit filled worship with a band, Bible teaching, prayer and other creative elements. The service lasts for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Join us before the service from 5:30pm for a cuppa and catch up.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are curious, exploring faith, wondering about having your life event at our church; or a follower of Jesus looking for a church.

Safeguarding

AST is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO at [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Rob Marshall at [email protected] or 07914 668907. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
