All Saints is a beautiful Grade I listed medieval church built and modified from the thirteenth century onwards, with a few remaining Norman features. Its chief glory is the magnificent East Window by Dr Douglas Strachan, who also designed much of the glass in the neighbouring church of St Oswald in Hotham.
Traditional forms of worship are held every Sunday morning at 11 am. There is generally a congregation of twenty to thirty. Music forms a key part of our worship as we are fortunate in having a good pipe organ with a distinguished organist and a small music group to lead the congregation. Coffee and biscuits (and often cakes) are served after the service, providing a very friendly and sociable atmosphere.
Our bell ringing tower was recently recently designated as a Ringing Centre for East Yorkshire, with facilities such as a training room and computer based practice modules.
We have close links with the village school, and have a weekly Wednesday morning communion. Regular mid-week evening bible study courses are run at the vicarage - please contact the vicar for details.
