Pilgrimage Weekend

Starts Burstwick Churchyard
Starts Burstwick Churchyard, Walking to St Lawrence, Elstronwick and then to All Saints', Preston on Saturday, and then from Preston to St Swithin's, Sproatley and on to St Peter's, Humbleton on Sunday.

On the weekend of 26th/27th August Rev Philip West will lead a pilgrimage between local churches, starting at Burstwick churchyard, walking to St Lawrence's Church, Elstronwick for lunch, then on to All Saints', Preston where we will eat together. On the Sunday walkers will resume from Preston, onward to St Swithin's, Sproatley where there will be a Service of the Word at 11.00am, followed by a buffet lunch, and then onward to St Peter's, Humbleton where refreshments will be provided and the pilgrimage will draw to a close with final prayers and reflection. In each church there will be time for private prayer and reflection. If you enjoy walking, are interested in local history, especially of our churches, and would welcome the opportunity to enjoy fellowship, whilst also having the opportunity to enjoy quiet time, why not come and join us? Welcome to St Swithin's Church, Sproatley. We would love you to join us at one of our services or other events.  We are a body of Christians who want all our visitors and our community to know the love of Jesus Christ. 

The parish of Sproatley: St Swithin is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.
