About Us
There has been a church on this site since before the time of the Domesday book. We are also the only church to be dedicated to St. Elgin.
The Service of Holy Communion uses the Common Worship order of service and hymns from 'Hymns Old & New'
The Family service has an average attendance of around 15 adults and 10 children. We provide a 'soft' play area with quiet(ish) toys where children, who wish to, can spend some time with or without Mum or Dad. If parents wish to be with children in the play area there is seating where adults can remain in contact with the service as well as the children.
You are warmly invited to attend any of our services where you will be made welcome.
There is a strong link between the church and the village school. Our Vicar regularly attends assembly and children from the school visit the church and hold occasional services with our own vicar leading the worship.
The church holds monthly coffee mornings in homes around the village which are well attended by villagers. It would be lovely to see you there. Look at the village notice board for details of dates and times.
St Elgin's is one church within a benefice of 5 parishes and with a total of 7 churches.
