Revd Shirley Hebden was both ordained as a Priest and licensed to the benefice in a packed Beeford Church on January 6th.My route to priesthood has not followed the normal route … does God have a ‘normal’ route? However, having been a Reader and Lay Dean for the Deanery I was then ordained as a Distinctive Deacon in 2019; was asked to be Area Dean in 2020 and continuing to follow God’s calling was ordained Priestand licensed.The service was a joyful occasion with so much love; it was attended by many friends and colleagues from the across the Deanery and beyond. I moved into Beeford Rectory in February and I am still unpacking boxes. These are parishes that I know well as I have worshipped as a member of the benefice for over 20 years.
