The Churches in Hutton Cranswick are collecting shoe-boxes filled with goodies, organised by the Jacob’s Well Charity in Beverley. These will go to children and young people who live in great poverty in countries of Africa and Eastern Europe.

If you are able to fill a box, we ask that you put a list of contents on the OUTSIDE of the box and whether it is suitable for a boy or a girl, with an approximate age. You may like to fill a box for an adult, especially for an elderly person; again mark this on the outside. We ask for a £1 coin to help with transport costs, also on the OUTSIDE.

This year our cut-off date is Sunday 1 December. There will be the usual morning services at each of the churches: Cranswick Methodist Church 10:30am, St Peter’s 10:45am. The boxes will be collected and blessed at the services before being forwarded to Jacob’s Well.

The boxes may also be left at St Peter’s Church (open during hours of daylight) or at 59 Beech View, YO25 9QQ, during the week 25 November to 1 December.

SUNDAY SERVICES

St. Peter's is normally open for public worship each Sunday at 10:45am. Our Band and Choir assist with the leading of worship. On the first and third Sundays of each month, the Band usually plays for worship, and on the second and fourth Sundays of the month the Choir sings. Sometimes we have both Choir and Band, for special occasions.

VISITING THE CHURCH

St. Peter's is open every day for visitors to come in, enjoy the peace and calm, pray, appreciate the history and beauty of the building ... and use the facilities.

CHRISTENINGS and WEDDINGS

We have a system to help us manage the enquiries for both christenings and weddings. There is a part-time Administrator who works 6 hours a week and during those hours manages the designated email address:-

[email protected]

Thank you for helping us to help you...!

FUNERALS

Please contact Mrs. Ruth Pickles if you wish to discuss funerals, either by ringing 01377 270474 or emailing her on [email protected]
