St Leonard's Church, Scorborough

St Leonard's Church, Scorborough can be seen, just sitting off the main road, as you drive from Beverley to Driffield along the A164 with its stunning steeple and raised position.  One of a number of John L Pearson built churches, it was completed and dedicated in 1859 and is a little gem. With a spectacular vaulted roof some stunning stained glass, beautiful tiles by Minton and an organ built by Gray and Davidson of London, no expense was spared when it was built and it is listed in the book England's Thousand Best Churches by Simon Jenkins.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Andrea Parr 01430 810547 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Julie O’Hara 01904 699524 or contact
