About Us

St Nicholas Church, Beverley  is a gathering of God's People for God's World. We believe that the Christian Faith is for all people, regardless of age, background or ability.

We are part of the Church of England and our church parish includes the Beckside, Grovehill, Swinemoor and Model Farm areas of Beverley.

We believe that the church is first and foremost a community with a common aim to worship the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to serve God and one another. Worship is the heart of our church life. Meeting together for worship each week gives a structure that helps us to stay close to God and to each other. Our worship gives us an opportunity to express our thanks and praise to God together, and to receive from God for our life in the world.

As a Church, our aims are:
To be open to God - Growing up in our faith through worshipping together.
To be open to one another - Walking together as a church community, learning to support and encourage each other in our Christian journey.
To be open to the world - Going out in service to our local community and beyond, sharing the love of God through our lives.
