St Mary's Priory Church

Welcome to the Priory Church here in Old Malton.

This church community has been worshiping here on this site for over 900 years and are committed to growing the community of followers of Christ here in Malton. We welcome you to all our services that take place throughout the week.

Our Sunday services are lead by our choir and this is supplemented during university term times by our choral scholars. All our choral music is from the Anglican choral tradition and we are also great believers in good congregational singing. Refreshments follow our services of Evensong which take place twice a month.

Midweek services also take place in the Priory. The Priory is open for personal prayer throughout the year during daylight hours. We also welcome tourists to come and look at our very interesting church building.

"The parish of Old Malton: St Mary the Virgin is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
