Getting here
St. Peter's is a lively, family-friendly Church with both traditional and modern services within strong community links. We have a Sunday School. Our Church is comfortable and warm in welcome.
Communion is open to ALL those who are baptised.
Under 5's are VERY welcome with their own corner for parent-supervised quiet play (though we enjoy the occasional "contributions" from little voices!).
Seating up to 400, St. Peter's is a popular & attractive venue for Weddings & Baptisms as well as occasional concerts.
Please contact the Priest in Charge Rev. Jenny Buckler for further information on 01653 228827 or email [email protected]
We also hold services at local care homes for the elderly as part of our programme of outreach.
You are welcome to visit us & join with us in worship!
St Peter's Sunday School & Friday Night Club
========================================
For children & young people from the age of 3 years. We meet every Sunday except for the Summer Holidays.
We begin the service in age-appropriate groups following the Scripture Union syllabus involving Bible readings, games, quizzes & activities, returning to join the church family for Holy Communion. We take part in Family Services each month and have special services at Christmas and Easter as well as a Christingle Service.
We have a Christmas party & host a tea party for the senior members of Church at Easter. Every summer we have a holiday club.
Sunday School Children (4-7yrs & 7+yrs) can also come to Friday Night Club during term time. We enjoy bible study, games, art, crafts etc and trips to larger Christian events like XL in York Minster.
